AI assistance with texts

The camping guides and buying tips on this website were created or revised with the help of artificial intelligence, including the English translation. A notice appears directly on the pages concerned. AI can produce incomplete, outdated or incorrect statements. Linked sources help with context; citing a source does not mean it endorses our recommendations.

AI-generated images

The gear images in the recommendations are artificially generated example images. They show typical items, not a specific branded product or guaranteed features. The caption "AI-generated example image · Not a product photo" appears directly next to the image. The festival image on the home page is also AI-generated and does not show a documented event. The images are not evidence of a product test.

No invented tests or product promises

We have not tested the types of gear presented ourselves. The Amazon links lead to search results, not to a clearly identified model. Features, safety, contents, availability and price of the specific offer must be checked with the retailer and manufacturer before buying. Affiliate links are marked with * and a separate notice.

Responsibility and corrections

Responsible for publication on TripSquad: Alexander Schnell. Please report errors or misleading content to admin@trip-squad.com. Labelling does not replace checking content or consumer, copyright or data protection obligations. Manufacturer instructions, weather warnings and organiser rules take precedence over general buying tips.

Legal framework

Article 50 of the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) sets out transparency obligations for certain AI systems and content. These include in particular artificially generated or manipulated deepfakes and certain texts informing the public on matters of public interest; for such texts the provision contains an exception where there is human review or editorial control and editorial responsibility is assumed. Not every AI-assisted image or guide automatically falls under the same obligation. TripSquad nevertheless explicitly labels the content used here to avoid confusion with real product photos or our own tests.

Machine-readable marking by providers under Article 50(2) is distinct from the disclosure obligations of deployers. Our visible notices and descriptive image metadata are no guarantee of standardised machine-readable marking or full legal compliance.

Official legal text: EU AI Act, in particular Articles 50 and 113.

No visitor-facing AI on the guide pages

The published texts and images are delivered as finished content. Simply reading the guides does not trigger an AI request with your input to an AI provider. Information about visit data and optional advertising can be found in the privacy policy.
